The Ring Sizing Process
At Washington Diamond, we take pride in our meticulous ring sizing process. Unlike simple stretching, our method involves precision and care.
When resizing a ring to make it larger, the ring is cut at the bottom in its sizing area. The ring is then expanded to its correct size, and additional metal is added to the open area, ensuring a secure and durable fit. Conversely, for rings that need to be made smaller, a section of the ring is removed and the ring is soldered back together to it's determined size.
Our goldsmiths go above and beyond during the sizing process by also examining the ring for any flaws, such as loose stones or metal scuffs. They take the extra step to tighten stones, polish the metal, and ensure your ring looks as brand new as the day it was purchased.
